Week 3 @ Jets

Last year’s game at MetLife Stadium was a trainwreck, with the Bengals losing to the Jets 34-31. The stripes’ defense allowed backup quarterback Mike White to throw for 405 yards and three touchdowns.

Still, the Bengals could have won that game, but former Bengal tight end Tyler Kroft scored, which allowed the Jets to go for a two-point conversion. White caught the ball in the endzone using a trick play, and the rest is history as they say.

Can Robert Saleh have his offensive up and running and ready for the Bengals’ defense by week 3? Starting quarterback Zach Wilson missed most of his rookie season due to an injury, and it looks like the Bengals could be in an excellent position to take this one.

However, the Jets will not go quietly.

Saleh selected a lot of great talent in his second draft, which should establish some fun matchups. Jets first-rounders Ahamad Gardner from the University of Cincinnati and Garrett Wilson from Ohio State squaring off against the Bengals Ja’Marr Chase and Chidobe Awuzie should be exciting to watch.

This game will also reunite former Bengals Carl Lawson and CJ Uzomah. Lawson missed last year with a ruptured Achilles tendon, and Uzomah signed a big contract with the Jets this offseason. Nevertheless, Burrow and company should be too much for a first-year coach and young team to overcome.
