Starting RDE: Trey Hendrickson

Reserves: Joseph Ossai, Khalid Kareem, Jeffrey Gunter

Concluding the d-line depth chart predictions is right defensive end, which starts with Trey Hendrickson, who the team acquired last offseason in free agency. Hendrickson was the biggest name signed by the team in free agency and we all saw why.

Some thought that Hendrickson’s 2020 season with the Saints might have been a “one-year wonder” but he proved otherwise during his inaugural season in the Queen City. Hendrickson recorded 14.0 sacks, a Bengals season record, and was always around when the team needed a big play.

Behind him on the depth chart is Joseph Ossai, Khalid Kareem, and Jeffrey Gunter.

Ossai missed his entire rookie year in 2021 due to suffering an injury in the preseason. The third-round pick out of Texas will essentially be a rookie this year and he should make an immediate impact in the defense.

Kareem is returning for year three in Cincinnati. Last year, he appeared in seven games and had nine tackles during that time.

Gunter was taken in the seventh round of this year’s draft out of Coastal Carolina. He’ll be battling it out with Kareem for that No. 3 spot behind Hendrickson.

The Bengals’ defensive line looks to be even better than it was a season ago, which is bad news for the rest of the AFC, as the reigning conference champs look to repeat in 2022.
