4. Stay healthy

This will be the most important one. Every year there are a few teams that get faced with a severe injury bug. Now, every team struggles with injuries throughout the year, it’s football and a long season, but the teams that stay relatively the most healthy tend to be hanging around toward the end of the year.

The Bengals suffered some injuries but nothing that depleted their success. On the other hand, the Ravens were one of the teams that got the worst end of the stick when it came to injuries happening to their roster from the start of the year till the end.

Having depth is an essential piece to team success that many overlook. If you have multiple players at each position that you can trust, if a player is forced to be out or gets injured, and you have other players that can fill the void effectively, then there is a good chance you will be a successful team.

For the most part, Cincinnati has that and used this draft to fill that need. They now have many defensive backs, added some pass rushers, and an extra offensive lineman to the three they signed in free agency.
