1. La’el Collins

Cincinnati added new players to the roster in free agency and arguably the biggest was La’el Collins, who is now responsible for being the man on the right side of the line. It is very important for him to prove himself after missing five games of last season in Dallas due to suspension because of off the field issues. These issues involved accusations of bribing an NFL drug tester.

It will be massively important for him to stay on the field with his new squad. He had an overall Pro Football Focus grade of 82 out of a possible 100. He played 12 games and only allowed two sacks the whole year while at the right tackle spot.

Collins has great ability at the tackle position and is in for a great 2022 season if he can stay healthy and on the field. Collins himself is a fantastic run blocker who is also very capable in pass protection. He will just need to show everyone in Cincinnati that he is in fact the same guy they saw in Dallas being dominant in every facet of his game.

These new offensive line additions also need to show the improvements in the run game as a collective with such a special back in Joe Mixon.

As a group, the Cincinnati Bengals have a lot to prove this upcoming season after reaching such heights as the Super Bowl last year. More importantly, these players mentioned above have the most to prove as individuals to both their teammates and the coaching staff.

Zac Taylor has turned the culture around with the help of some key players and they plan to keep the winners’ mentality all of 2022 so only time will tell what these new additions will do for the team.
