1. Trayveon Williams

The Bengals drafted Trayveon Williams in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft and he’s never been a huge factor in their offense. They already had Joe Mixon as their starter by the time Williams got into the pros and while the Texas A&M product did get some playing time in 2020 when Mixon went down, he didn’t get asked to do much in 2021.

Cincinnati added another sixth-round draft pick last year in the form of Chris Evans, who was more involved in the season than Williams was. Williams had just 51 yards rushing on the year and appeared in five games.

While Williams could still make the team as a fourth-string option, he does have some competition behind him on the depth chart. Elijah Holyfield probably isn’t someone he needs to worry about much but Coastal Carolina UDFA Shermari Jones is.

This is the time for Williams to prove that he’s still worthy of keeping on the 53-man roster.
