5. Logan Wilson

Logan Wilson quickly became one of the most critical players on the Bengals’ defense. He is the main play-caller and one of the key playmakers. Teams need to find the right pieces on the defense that fit the mold and scheme that it wants to build around, and Logan Wilson is that guy for Cincinnati.

Being only 25 years old, the upside for him after this past season is through the roof. He implemented himself as one of the better defensive players the Bengals have and one of the better defensive players in the AFC North.

He had a mid-season shoulder injury that held him out a few games, but he instantly made up for the missed time once he came back. In addition, Wilson had one of the biggest plays of the entire season when he snagged an interception in the final minutes of the AFC Divisional Round that resulted in a game-winning field goal from Evan McPherson to advance to the AFC Championship.

The fact is, Wilson is a piece the Bengals need to maintain. He becomes eligible for an extension after this season along with Tee Higgins and Joe Burrow, which makes Cincinnati have to be very careful on how they spend their money because Higgins and Burrow are also precise necessities.
