5 players on the Bengals roster who are being vastly underrated
By Eli Zink
1. Logan Wilson
Coming in at the number one spot we have the significantly underrated linebacker who was tied for first in interceptions among his position group with four on the season all while missing some games. Logan Wilson, also known as the Governor of Wyoming during his college days, was given a 53.9 on PFF in 2022, which is on the lower end hence why I believe he is one of the vastly underrated players on the Bengals roster.
Wilson is due for a big year in 2022 as he will be a considerable threat in both the pass and run. He accumulated 70 solo tackles and 27 assisted tackles in 13 games while he missed three games due to injury and one game to prepare for the playoffs.
During his college days at Wyoming, he was a finalist for the Butkus Award while being the only one of the group who wasn’t from a Power-5 school. He is slowly making a name for himself as the quarterback of the defense as he coordinates the play calling and the necessary adjustments before the snap.
This is his year to break out as the struggles he did have were mainly due to inexperience in the NFL and learning the system the Bengals utilize. Wilson was known mostly for his coverage skills coming out of Wyoming but has established himself as the type of player that when he hits you the play is over.
As a fan, you should expect tackles in the hundreds and connivance of interceptions as he is a premier ball hawk at the linebacker position
