People are aware of the big names on the Cincinnati Bengals roster, such as Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Trey Hendrickson, but what about some of the lesser-known names? Let’s take a look at three of the best-kept secrets on the roster.
While Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Trey Hendrickson, and Sam Hubbard get a lot of the glory for the Cincinnati Bengals, the team has plenty of lesser-known talent on the roster. That’s what we’ll be discussing in this post. We’ll dive into three players who are the best-kept secrets for the stripes.

3. Chris Evans
Fans might be familiar with Chris Evans but non-Bengals fans might not know much about him. This dude can absolutely be a weapon for the stripes but Zac Taylor needs to utilize him more.
Last year, Evans was used more as a pass-catcher, finishing the season with 15 catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns. As a runner, he had 77 yards on the ground and was always playing third-fiddle to Joe Mixon and Samaje Perine.
Taylor’s love for Perine could continue to keep Evans out of the backfield but hopefully, the second-year man out of Michigan will get more of a chance to shine this year. He averaged 10.1 yards per catch last year and now that he has a year of experience under his belt, year two should see Evans become a bigger weapon for the reigning AFC champs.
