2. Joseph Ossai

Joseph Ossai was another rookie last year who fans were looking forward to watching. Unfortunately, we didn’t get that chance, as Ossai was injured during the preseason and missed the entire 2021 season.

Ossai was a stud during his time at Texas and the Bengals planned to add him to their rebuilding defense and have him be a big piece of that. While that didn’t come to fruition last year, the defense performed well even without him and now he’ll be joining a unit that knows they can get the job done.

Ossai can play on the defensive line and also at linebacker, which makes him another versatile weapon in Lou Anarumo’s defense. Since we didn’t get to see Ossai play in a regular-season game last year, some fans might have forgotten about him and that’s why he’s considered a best-kept secret as he enters the first true year of his NFL career.

Drafting Ossai a year ago was a good move by the Bengals and while we haven’t gotten to see him in action yet, he’ll get a chance to prove why he was a third-round pick last year.
