2. Vonn Bell
Vonn Bell was a part of the Bengals’ 2020 free-agent class and he’s been a nice addition to the secondary. A second-round pick by the Saints in 2016, Bell spent the first four years of his career in New Orleans and had over 80 tackles in each of those four seasons.
When he hit free agency in 2020, the Bengals wisely scooped Bell up and added him to their young and improving defense. During his inaugural season in Cincinnati, Bell racked up 114 tackles, five defended passes, four QB hits, and three forced fumbles.
He continued to be a key contributor on defense this past season even if his stats were down a bit from the year before. He had a 74.2 PFF grade proving that he was an asset to the team.
Now Bell enters the final year of his contract and he’ll only be 28 when he hits free agency next offseason. That’s going to make him a popular name in free agency and he might be tough to retain.
Hopefully, the Bengals can keep Vonn Bell, especially with the next entry on the list hitting free agency as well.
