Since the NFL Top 100’s inaugural list in 2011, only one kicker has ever made the list. It was Adam Vinatieri in 2015, and he was number 98.

With that said, is it a long shot for Evan McPherson to make the list this year? Yes. Bengals fans can dream, right?

McPherson had an 85% completion percentage in 2021 and set a franchise record by completing a 58-yard field goal to finish off the Broncos in Week 15. He is definitely a long shot at making the list but if he can keep up the accuracy and swagger he could reach the heights that Vinatieri did.

Well, he’d have to hit a couple of game-winners in the Super Bowl, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility. Plus, him calling his shot like Babe Ruth against the Titans in the playoffs may come off well with other players. Or not.
