Bengals WR from 1992-1999

In the second round of the 1992 NFL Draft, the Bengals nabbed Carl Pickens out of Tennessee, who became a household name during his rookie season. While the offensive numbers don’t look all that impressive, Pickens was a stud on special teams, totaling 229 yards and a return touchdown through 18 returns. He had a long return of 95 yards.

As mentioned, Pickens didn’t put up insane numbers as a wide receiver that year with just 326 yards but he was still crowned Offensive Rookie of the Year for his efforts. Pickens only got better from there.

From 1994 to 1998, Pickens had just one year where he didn’t hit the 1,000-yard receiving mark and from 1994 to 1996, he had double-digit touchdowns, including an astonishing 17 scores in 1995.

Pickens was a tremendous player during his time in Cincinnati and it’s not surprising to see him fourth all-time in receiving yards.
