I’m putting these two on one slide because they always belong together. Their friendship and connection in the passing game have revolutionized the Bengals brand, and are the most obvious choices to ascend to the Hall of Fame.

Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are on pace to be the next Montana-Rice, and there might be a day when we all say the most important day in Bengals history was when Burrow tore his ACL; because it gave the Bengals the fifth pick in the 2021 draft which netted them Chase.

Their statistical pace, similar contract timing, and background as best friends present the most unique opportunity in football history. Their statistical potential as a duo is unlimited, and their ability to affect winning has already been demonstrated.

What’s so unique about the Burrow-Chase connection is how similar their personality toward football is – work harder than you’ve ever worked and have fun doing it. Enjoy the process, enjoy the improvement. These guys embrace that legendary competitiveness and work ethic that’s so rare to find.

The Bengals organization will go as far as these two are able to carry it. Their psychic connection nearly delivered the greatest play in Super Bowl history. If Aaron Donald slips on a 4th and 1, their spot in the hall might’ve been cemented.

Now? They still have their legacy to cement. I expect to see them both in Canton one day.
