Tariqious Tisdale – Defensive Tackle/End
Every year there seem to be one or two undrafted free agents that the fans look to follow and cheer on to make the team. Tariqious Tisdale out of Ole Miss could be one of those players. Listed at 6’5″, 285 pounds, Tisdale possesses the athleticism and length to help with the defensive tackle or end rotation.
While at Ole Miss, Tisdale recorded 88 career tackles, nine for loss, and three sacks. Playing in just 11 games in two years does have some concerns; however, the upset side is worth taking a chance on him.
According to Bengals.com writer Geoff Hobson,
"“Tisdale, who ran a 4.6 40, has everyone intrigued, including senior defensive assistant Mark Duffner, one of the staff’s more relentless recruiters who helps defensive line coach Marion Hobby with the edge players. He knows them well.”"
When asked by Dan Hoard on the Bengals Booth Podcast why Cincinnati, what appeared to you, Tisdale responded, “I feel like the scheme fits me the best, on being versatile, I can play inside or out.”
Tisdale will likely be fighting for a spot on the practice squad but could be that development player you need off the bench when injuries arise. He will need to have a strong showing in the preseason games.
