2. Lamar Jackson

A year ago, Lamar Jackson was at the top of the AFC North QB power rankings because Joe Burrow didn’t get a full season to prove he was the better signal-caller.

Jackson is coming off his worst season as a pro quarterback and injuries were to blame for that. He threw just 16 touchdown passes and 13 interceptions and had a career-low two rushing touchdowns through 12 starts. The Ravens remained competitive even without Jackson starting but they’re clearly a better team when he’s under center.

Prior to last year, Jackson and the Ravens owned the Bengals and the former MVP put up stellar numbers whenever he was squaring off against the stripes. It was nice to get revenge on him and Baltimore this past year but with the Ravens’ roster getting their injured players back, it’s a clean slate in 2022.

Jackson might rely on the run but he’s shown in the past few years that he can do damage as a passer as well. He might be able to reclaim the top QB spot after this year but it’s hard not to put Joe Burrow number one, so let’s discuss him next.
