5. Logan Wilson
The Bengals spent a third-round pick on Logan Wilson in the 2020 draft and he had a breakout season this past year. Wilson wasn’t utilized as a starter during his rookie season and was injured later in the year, sidelining him for four games.
In year two, Wilson missed four games as well but excelled as a starter. He finished the season with 100 tackles and four interceptions. His clutch interception in the AFC Divisional Round allowed Evan McPherson to kick the game-winning field goal that sent the stripes to the AFC Championship Game.
Wilson has two years remaining on his contract and the Bengals would be foolish to let him sniff free agency. He’s the sideline-to-sideline linebacker the team has needed for their defense and it’s clear that the Bengals defense is better when Wilson is on the field.
Extending Logan Wilson before he hits the open market would be a wise move for Cincinnati.
