Bengals 53-man roster projection before 2022 training camp kicks off
Tight Ends (3)
- Hayden Hurst
- Drew Sample
- Mitchell Wilcox
The only real question mark for the tight end position is who gets the third-string job. We know that Hurst, who signed with the team in free agency, and Sample, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, are making the roster.
Wilcox probably gets the nod at the final spot because of his special teams experience. Thad Moss, Scotty Washington, and Nick Eubanks will be fighting with Wilcox for the third and final tight end spot, so this is a battle to watch.
Offensive Linemen (10)
- Starters: Jonah Williams, Jackson Carman, Ted Karras, Alex Cappa, La’el Collins
- Reserves: Hakeem Adeniji, Trey Hill, Isaiah Prince, D’Ante Smith, Cordell Volson
Injuries took their toll on the offensive line last year and that’s why it’s good to have plenty of reserves. The starting o-line is easy to figure out but the backups are definitely trickier. This group would give the Bengals plenty of options if someone were to get injured because several of these players have experience at tackle and guard.
