The Cincinnati Bengals enter Sunday's AFC North road game against the Baltimore Ravens with a clean sheet of injury designations. That'll make for a happy, healthy scratch list of inactives for Week 7.

Same can't be said on Baltimore's side. Superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson is missing his third straight game due to an ankle sprain. Tyler "Snoop" Huntley will start in his place, and all of a sudden the division race could really be on if Cincinnati can capitalize on Lamar's absence.

But as for the Bengals' side of things, who might be sidelined for this highly anticipated matchup? It's hard to choose with such a solid roster. However, a recent signee is an easy place to start.

Bengals predicted Week 4 inactives list

  • TE Jack Endries
  • OT Myles Hinton
  • LB Jack Kiser
  • DT Landon Robinson
  • OL Jalen Rivers

Jack Kiser is reuniting with his former Notre Dame defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Al Golden in Cincinnati. Kiser just got here, though, so I think he'll be inactive for at least a week while he finds his way in a new NFL city. I mean, everyone else who's been here a while is healthy enough to play, so why press him into duty on special teams? For who for what?

At least that's my take. We'll find out soon enough whether Kiser's signing is on merit or just a psuedo-nepotist acquisition courtesy of the Golden ties.

As for the offensive line, Myles Hinton is a backup swing tackle and therefore an obvious candidate to be down. Then we start to get a little uncomfortable, at least as far as the coaching staff feels apparently.

Why the Bengals would activate Jalen Rivers over, say, Jacob Bayer or even Connor Lew at this point is beyond me. Then again, Rivers hasn't landed on the inactives list all season, so this prediction is more wishful thinking than anything else.

Bayer has gotten a little bit of run as an extra offensive lineman. That's an intriguing wrinkle the Bengals ought to lean into more.

Because the defensive line is so deep and the coaching staff is so enamored of Kris Jenkins Jr. — or the front office refuses to let a 2024 second-round pick ride the pine as a healthy scratch — Landon Robinson's wait to make his NFL debut persists. I think he could truly make a difference on this d-line as a change-of-pace, explosive pass rusher from the inside.

Maybe it'd take losing to Snoop Huntley and Co. for Golden or the defensive coaches to make any changes to the rotation. It's admittedly harder to get Robinson in action with B.J. Hill in the mix now.

Anyway, should be a pretty straightforward/minimal inactives report. All will be revealed soon!
