Honorable Mentions

The four players who I gave their own entries to were first-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft so it made more sense for the Bengals to have actually considered taking them 11th overall. There were obviously other talented players in that year's draft but there was no way Cincinnati was going to spend a top-15 pick on them.

Other notable players taken after Williams in 2019 were Josh Jacobs, Deebo Samuel, Elgton Jenkins, A.J. Brown, Miles Sanders, DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin, Dawson Knox, and Maxx Crosby. The Bengals weren't going to draft a running back that wasn't elite with the 11th overall pick but this was before they had Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins so wide receiver wouldn't have been crazy since A.J. Green was near the end of his career by this point.

Out of the players I listed above, Crosby falling to the fourth round is absolutely absurd. The Bengals would have gotten some strange reactions for drafting him so early but he'd have likely proved that it was the right decision if he played as well as he has for the Raiders.

Jonah Williams wasn't the worst pick in 2019 but imagine how much better the Cincinnati Bengals could be now had they taken one of the aforementioned players.
