Spencer Rattler (South Carolina)

Another quarterback who needed a change of scenery to re-establish his career is Spencer Rattler. As a five-star recruit, Rattler was featured in the Netflix documentary QB1. It wasn't a great look for him, he came off as entitled and arrogant, something that stuck with him during his college career.

That said, going into the 2021 season Rattler was ranked by many drafniks as the number 1 quarterback. However, being benched in favor of Caleb Williams put a dent in his draft stock and brought an end to his time at Oklahoma.

Now at South Carolina, last season had plenty of wow plays from Rattler but lacked the consistency he has found this year. At his best, Rattler has the arm talent and playmaking ability to rival any top pick but it simply doesn't show itself enough.

It would be interesting to see if he has gained the maturity to sit behind an elite QB and use it as a learning process. As a mid to late-round pick it's going to be the reality for Rattler if he wants to continue playing football at the highest level.
