Bengals get 4 compensatory picks – Thurman on the clock

AUTHOR: | IN: Bengals | COMMENTS: None Yet

The Bengals and AFC North rival Ravens received four extra picks, including a third-rounder courtesy of left guard Eric Steinbach’s defection to the Browns. The Bengals ended up getting a sixth-rounder and two seventh-rounders and will have 10 selections in the draft. Odell Thurman appears to still be on stride to be reinstated prior to training camp. Commissioner Goodell has indicated he will make his ruling prior to training camp opening. We can all keep our fingers crossed, as getting Odell back would be like getting 11 picks this season.

Cincinnati today announced the expected signing of another Arizona Cardinal Linebacker free agent. Third year player Brandon Johnson signed a one year offer with Cincinnati today, rejoining Cardinal teammate Darryl Blackstock in Cincinnati. As with the Blackstock signing, Johnson will come in to add depth, experience and special teams help to the linebacking corps. First Chad, now TJ

AUTHOR: | IN: Bengals | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

According to the NFL, TJ has also said he will not be attending voluntary offseason workouts. Although he’s not campaigning for a trade, he is looking to get a new deal.
