The Cincinnati Bengals (2-1) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) for their only primetime game of the 2021 season. This could change, of course, but for now, Thursday night will be the only time we’ll see the Bengals play under the bright lights of primetime.

Fortunately, it’s a very winnable game for the stripes, as they’ll host a winless Jacksonville squad that is trotting out a rookie quarterback in front of what should be a raucous crowd at Paul Brown Stadium. Good luck, Trevor Lawrence.

The Bengals are as big of favorites in this game as they’ve been in quite some time so let’s see if Madden thinks they’ll live up to the hype.

Madden Simulation – Cincinnati Bengals 28, Jacksonville Jaguars 14

Bengals Stats

  • Joe Burrow – 18-of-29, 301 yards, 3 TD, INT; 3 carries, 18 yards
  • Joe Mixon – 15 carries, 96 yards
  • Ja’Marr Chase – 8 rec, 72 yards, 2 TD
  • Tyler Boyd – 3 rec, 36 yards, TD
  • Logan Wilson – 8 tackles; INT (TD)
  • Trey Hendrickson – 2 sacks
  • Larry Ogunjobi – Sack
  • Vonn Bell – INT
  • Mike Hilton – INT

Jaguars Stats

  • Trevor Lawrence – 23-of-51, 297 yards, TD, 3 INT; 6 carries, 48 yards
  • James Robinson – 12 carries, 67 yards, TD
  • D.J. Chark – 4 rec, 78 yards, TD
  • Laviska Shenault Jr. – 6 rec, 42 yards
  • Josh Allen – 12 tackles; Sack
  • Andrew Wingard – INT

Bengals fans would be ecstatic if this turned out to be the final score on Thursday night.

This will truly be a Cincinnati show according to Madden, as they have the stripes doubling Jacksonville’s points. The offense puts on a firework show while the defense feasts on Lawrence and that stumbling Jags offense.

Madden is 0-3 to this point, predicting the Bengals would win in Week 2 and to lose in Weeks 1 and 3, so hopefully, they’re actually right this week!
