The Cincinnati Bengals did exactly what they were supposed to do against the Lions in Week 6 by beating them convincingly. Joe Burrow was a big part of the 34-11 victory, throwing for 291 yards, three touchdowns, and one pick. QB1 looked good in his sixth start of his second season.

Burrow has now thrown for 1,540 yards, 14 touchdowns, and seven picks through six games. His rushing yards aren’t much to write home about but Bengals fans are fine with that considering he’s still nursing an injury from last year that required surgery.

After a slow start for the Bengals signal-caller, he got going and helped lead his team to their largest margin of victory in over half a decade.

What grade does Joe Burrow deserve for his Week 6 performance?

Burrow might have thrown a pick in the blowout win but it wasn’t on him. The pass slipped through Ja’Marr Chase’s fingers and was picked by Amani Oruwariye. The Lions didn’t do anything with the extra possession, so no harm, no foul, right?

Aside from that interception, Burrow looked darn good especially with the right side of the offensive line not playing well. He scrambled when he needed to and made the big throws when they were there.

With all of this in mind, a grade of an A- is fair for Burrow’s outing in the Motor City. He had the one interception but otherwise, he took care of business against a bad secondary and a bad team overall.

Following the game, Burrow issued a warning to opposing defenses, letting them know that it’s a bad idea to sleep on his connection with Ja’Marr Chase. I don’t think he needs to tell teams that quite honestly.
