According to Yahoo NFL writer Michael Silver, Bengals RB Cedric Benson has been handed a 3-game suspension by the NFL due to his altercation during the NFL lockout which led to his arrest and serving 5 days in jail. Benson will have an appeal of the suspension that will be heard next Tuesday. If the appeal fails, he will miss the games vs. Buffalo, Jacksonville, and Indianapolis. Benson currently leads the team in rushing with 180 yards on a healthy 4.4 ypc average.
