AEG, the company that owns the Staples Center and the Los Angeles Kings, and was reportedly a driving force in trying to bring NFL football back to Los Angeles, is now being put up for sale. L.A. officials are stating that this will in no way affect their pursuit of an NFL team, something they haven’t had since the 1994-95 NFL season, the final year the Los Angeles Rams played their before moving to St. Louis.
Giants Pro-Bowl receiver Hakeem Nicks (foot) expects to be active for Thursday’s game against the Panthers. Meanwhile, CB Prince Amukamara (ankle) is optimistic he’ll be ready for Thursday’s game with the Panthers. RB Andre Brown will likely take over as the featured back if Ahmad Bradshaw (neck) sits out Thursday night.
Patriots guard Brian Waters turned down a significant pay raise to return to the team. The Pats are desperate for offensive-line help, but Waters appears unwilling to play for them.
The Ravens’ play calling on third-and-short in their 1-point loss to the Eagles Sunday was very suspect, and it may have been what cost them the win.
Lions RB Mikel Leshoure will be active versus the Titans in Week 3.
0-2 NFL teams forget about the playoffs if they lose on Sunday. Since 1990, only three teams have started 0-3 and made the playoffs.
